5 Year 100,000 mile Power Train Warranty

Guess Motors - Guess Ford is proud to provide a 5 year or 100,000 mile power train warranty on all used cars, trucks and SUV's that have undergone our extensive 160 point inspection. The warranty covers parts and labor for repair to the drive train. It covers internal lubricated parts and a $100 deductible applies. We ask that you perform your basic required maintenance in our service department to keep the warranty valid and your car in good shape. Giving this warranty complementary shows that we believe in preventative maintenance and are willing to back it up with a warranty. Most other dealers charge for this type of coverage.

What parts of the vehicle are covered by the Limited Warranty? Section B
The coverage of this warranty shall be limited to the covered components and parts thereof as listed below:

ENGINE: All internal lubricated parts, including; pistons, piston rings, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and camshaft bearings, timing chain or timing gears, intake and exhaust valves, intake manifold, valve springs, guides, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms. hydraulic lifters, rocker arm shafts, cylinder heads. The engine block is covered if mechanical failure was caused by the above listed parts, excludes seals and gaskets.

AUTOMATIC OR STANDARD TRANSMISSION: All internally lubricated parts contained within the transmission case and/or torque converter case, transmission case, and torque converter case if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part. Does not include the clutch assembly, clutch pressure plates, flywheel, throwout bearing, seals, and gaskets.

DRIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY: All internally lubricated parts contained within the drive axle housing. Drive axle housing if damaged by failure of any lubricated parts. Excludes drive shaft and universal joints, constant velocity joints and assemblies, seals and gaskets. 


What is not covered by the Limited Warranty? Section C

Malfunctions resulting from collision, vandalism, neglect, improper maintenance, excessive abuse, falling missles or objects, fire, theft, larceny, explosion, lightening, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief, riot or civil commotion.  The replacement of maintenance items (such as spark plug, ignition points, positive crankcase ventilator valve, filters, lubricants and oil, brake and clutch linings, electrical items, computer, exhaust, system, ball joint, tie rod ends, exhaust converter, tires) made in connection with normal maintenance services.  Any other repairs to parts of the vehicle not specifically indicated under sections (b) and (c) is this limited warranty, including seals and gaskets. 


All repair costs arising out of this limited warranty are subject to a deductible of $100.00 per repair which is and shall remain the responsibility of the purchaser, and shall be paid in cash in advance of any repairs to the subject vehicle.  Thereafter, 100% of the total charges (parts and labor) for the repairs covered under Section B above shall be the responsibility of the dealer, subject to the terms and conditions of this limited vehicle warranty. 


This limited warranty expires 5 years from the date of delivery or a total of 100,000 miles from the time that the subject vehicle was manufactured, whichever occurs first.  The mileage restriction placed herein represents the total actual miles on the vehicle and not the miles placed on the subject vehicle by the purchaser. 


During the term of this limited warranty, the purchaser is obligated to perform the following routine maintenance on the subject vehicle, to-wit:

Oil and filter change every 5,000 miles or six months, whichever is first to occur.
Transmission flush and service every 45,000 miles or thirty six months, whichever is first to occur.
Cooling System Service and Flush every 45,000 miles or thirty six months, whichever is first to occur. 
All work performed on the subject vehicle, whether maintenance as address in 1,2, or 3 above or warranty repairs as addressed in section B above shall be performed by the dealer at it's location in Carrollton, Ohio. Furthermore the purchaser is obligated to notify the dealer, immediately, upon a mechanical defect, and further to tender the subject vehicle the dealer for inspection of the subject vehicle for the mechanical defect.

Failure on the part of the purchaser to comply with any of the foregoing terms and conditions shall result in this limited warranty being voided.  At that time, the dealer shall have no further obligation to the customer.
